What can I say, they are like a thin sweat-shorts. They aren't the softest but they are 7/soft. As soft as "100% other fibers" can get. I imagine they are made from industrial dryer lint. Whatever the case I ordered Large and they come right to the knee on me - I'm 32L pant size. They look great and feel great. I always wanted comfy shorts to lounge around home in that wasn't basketball shorts or just my bare undies. That's why I chose these. I liked them so much I ordered TWO of them. It'll be like a change of underwear now. In fact, what prompted me to order the second pair was the fact I couldn't find the first pair for like a day. I have separation anxiety now, that's how much I love these shorts. On the downside, things will fall out of the pockets when you sit down, for example: to try out an old, beat-up chair. Had it happen to me in a Goodwill. The manager didn't really care that I lost my eyeglass case. I had to fight a little Hispanic boy for them, but I eventually caught up to him where he tripped over an old lady's cane. She wasn't using it, thank God! Other than that, great shorts. Now I need to find something for the Winter months, so I don't get cold knees.
