Yeah yeah yeah, if you’ve read any of my other reviews on Pearl Izumi, you know that I am a fan. Just so you know, here is one of my reviews on the women’s bibs:If you are into cycling at all, you probably know the name, Pearl Izumi. I had heard of the brand long ago and have had a few of their items in the past, but I’ve never tried their bibs before. I had already had some of their shorts and tops in the past and love them. So I knew that the quality was there, but friends had raved about their bibs so I decided to give it a shot and order these. Was glad I did! I am utterly amazed at the difference a pair of bibs make while you’re cycling. And the Pearl Izumi are so comfortable and well-made that I don’t think I’m ever going to sway away from the brand. These stay in place everywhere. They’re a comfortable compression without being constrictive. They move with your body without restricting it. They launder beautifully. Your skin can breathe, so you don’t feel overheated or soaked and sweat. And with the bibs, everything stays in place. You don’t have to keep pulling down a top or readjusting shorts - There’s even silicone grippers on the bottom of the legs of the shorts so they do not go anywhere! It’s all one piece and you can ride comfortably. Now with these bibs, there’s actually some reflection on them so if you ride in the evening or night, you’ve got a little extra there to be seen. And don’t forget you have the absolutely wonderful padded crotch. I don’t know what I do without that extra padding. Actually, I wouldn’t be a cyclist without it. But Pearl Izumi’s padding is long and wide, so you have plenty of coverage, and it’s nice and thick so you have plenty of softness. So now, the men’s bibs that we have here. My man had never experienced Pearl Izumi like I have. He was a cycle short and tank top type dude. Personally, I don’t know how he rode without padded shorts, but that’s a different topic. So what I did is just go ahead and order these for him and proceeded to make him try them. And as the cliché goes, the rest is history. Now, he will not cycle without them. One thing I did notice with these that’s different than the women’s is the padded area is definitely designed for a Man. So if you’re concerned about that, don’t worry, they got you covered. But as far as the quality is concerned, you can read my review above for the women’s and it’s the exact same thing. Pearl Izumi is high-quality comfort and made to last. We now swear by them.
