I get caught between most general sized shorts, as I consistently where size 31 w/o exception. I purchased these in size 32 which required taking-in the side bands, but they were still too loose in the waist. Returned them for size 30 and letting the sides out as much as possible, just barely meets the snap closure. They'll work but it's not a preferred fit. Sizing aside, the shorts are nice, I like the angled zip front pockets and padded liner. I won't buy them again, simply b/c of the sizing. It would be helpful if the shorts had belt loops, b/c an elastic belt would work well w/them.
